Amazing MI Bible Worker Stories

I had to share two stories from Bible Workers I oversee here in Michigan. Both of these were shared during the soul-winning hour at Michigan camp meeting this summer.

Andrea Loew is a Bible Worker in Bessemer, the church in the farthest northwest corner of the Upper Penninsula. She was in the middle of a study on the antichrist with one of her contacts when Courtney Taplin, a 21-year-old Pentecostal young lady, stopped over. Andrea got nervous and prayed that Courtney would not be overwhelmed by what she heard. The opposite happened. Courtney got so excited about the prophecy that she begged Andrea to begin Bible studies with her. She accepted everything and even had Andrea begin studying with her pastor. After she was ostricized by her church for her stand on truth, Courtney decided she had really become an Adventist. She was baptized and began sharing her faith with all she knew. This summer she is in the student magabook program in Michigan and next January she will be attending Mission College of Evangelism in Oregon!

The story of BJ White is a unique one. This Christian Reform lady had an Adventist neighbor who would continually give her the church's newsletter. In one of those was a request by Bible Worker Megan Dewind for church members willing to accompany her door-to-door and on Bible studies. BJ's church didn't do that and she thought this would be an excellent way for her to win the lost to Jesus, so she called Megan and asked if she could accompany her! When Megan realized BJ was not even an Adventist she was a little nervous but agreed. Several times a week these two would knock on doors, make visits, and go on studies together. As time went by BJ began learning things in these studies she'd never heard before. She also attended the youth-led evangelistic series at the Holland church. Then came the day she told Megan that she wanted to become a member of the church that really was sharing the truth. On June 10, BJ was baptized. Now that is what I call an amazing story!!!

Please stop right now and pray for the twenty-four Bible Workers serving Jesus here in Michgian!

Those are amazing stories of all the people just waiting and searching for truth. May the Lord equip each one of us to reach out to those around us!
